![]() It may be wise to get practice until you are confident with the jump before you start coming to Tiger's stage without the Leg Upgrade. You will have to get game over or revisit the stage if you fail. You only have one shot at this, since you can only switch to Zero once. X should make the distance all the way to the overhang, and you can wall jump up to reach the capsule. Travel to the right briefly as Zero, perhaps half a second, then pause again. Travel as far to the right as X can go, then, just as he starts to descend, pause the game. Slide down a little, then dash jump off the wall. After breaking the wall with Tornado Fang, climb up the wall to near the ceiling. It involves exploiting a glitch where changing to Zero in mid-air extends how far you can travel without dropping too much. There is however another, much easier, and much sneakier way to reach the capsule without the Leg Upgrade. Technically, it is possible reach the capsule without the Leg Upgrade, by dash jumping off of the wall underneath the overhang and reaching the platform leading to the capsule, however this is extremely difficult. When you see a dark gray cracked wall, use the Tornado Fang to burst through the wall, get in the secret room, and use the Leg Upgrade to reach the capsule. You can also charge up the special weapons. What it does: When you charge up your X-Buster and fire twice in a row in succession, the shots will combine and become much more powerful.Make sure you are touching the edge and get in to reach the capsule. Near the end of the stage, stand at the end of the last bridge, and do a dash jump. What it does: You can air dash horizontally or vertically by holding Up on the directional pad, jump, then dash.Requirements: none (Zero for an easier jump).Check the Vile section of the guide for help. Fill your sub tanks and head to one of the teleporters to head to his stage. This is your last chance to fight Vile! You have to do it now, before you face your final Maverick. Head to Volt Catfish's stage and finally get that sweet body upgrade that will reduce your damage. If you charge it, you'll unleash a giant field of gravity that lifts enemies into the sky. It won't do anything against most bosses. It can completely destroy certain enemies by crushing them in a field of gravity. When his health is low, he'll create a giant gravity field near the top of the screen. In fact, all of his attacks do a lot of damage, but they're mostly pretty slow and easy to avoid. This attack does a lot of damage and you can't damage him while he's doing it. If he glows, it means he's going to charge at you, so jump off a wall and over him. He hops around and fires bouncing gravity orbs around the room. Head up past the enemies and into the boss door. Still, it's better to wait for the gold chip. It alternates between the special arm parts charged shots and regular large charged shots, so you continuously combine them. This weapon fires continuous charged shots without having to actually charge them. This converts damage you take into a energy for a special weapon. Head right and destroy the Notor Bangers, climb up (tricky in the wrong Ride Armor) and fight the Head Gunners. These platforms will collapse under you so dash, dash, dash. Go up there and grab a Ride Armor (preferably the Hawk Ride Armor) if you want the enhancement chip here. The Ride Armor platform is directly above. Head all the way up and through the door. They're guarding power ups you can grab, including a 1up. Hop on the elevator and ride it up past the Head Gunners. The blades won't actually appear until you shoot them, but they can still roll into you and damage you.Ĭontinue right and then down the ladder. This robot clearly used to be a little girl's pet ("I'll call him Blady because he's got all those blades!"), and now he just rolls along trying to stab you. Head right and up, dealing with the familiar enemies and a new one. Underwater, though, it can swim using the dash button and its torpedoes will home in on nearby enemies. ![]() It fires torpedoes that impotently fall to the ground after travelling a short distance. It doesn't walk on land so much as it hops. The Frog Ride Armor is only really useful underwater, meaning he's only useful in one or two areas in the whole game. ![]() Head through and up the ladder.Ĭlimb the wall on the left, jump off, and use an upward air dash to reach the platform with the Ride Armor on it. ![]() Head right, then up over the boxes (if this is your first time here) and right some more, then up the ladders. You probably won't be able to get this your first time here, but after you clear the Blast Hornet stage, these blocks all over the place will disappear, including the ones blocking off the heart tank. Head inside to deal with some more Head Gunners. Gravity Beetle is second from the top right. Mega Man X3 Guide > Walkthrough > Gravity Beetle
